We'll go through a series of questions to find the right setup for you.
How do you distribute vehicle keys to customers?
We leave the keys in the car.
We distribute keys using an automated key dispenser.
An agent gives the keys to the customer.
If you're planning to change distribution models, choose the model you will use rather than the model you currently use.
Do you assign a specific vehicle ("Your vehicle is in spot A12"), or do you assign them a class of vehicle ("Choose any vehicle in Row A")?
We assign them a vehicle that's in a specific spot.
We allow them to choose from a class of vehicle.
We use both methods (i.e. depending on the customer's status).
If the customer arrives at the exit in the incorrect vehicle, do you wish to send them back, or optionally allow them to keep the vehicle and update their contract (including their pricing, as needed)?
We want them to be able to keep the vehicle, and update the contract accordingly.
We want to send them back to the parking lot, and requrie them to get the correct vehicle.
If the customer has to take the vehicle back to get the correct one, do you have a route forward for them to exit the gate and return to the lot? Or do you need them to back out of the exit?
The customer would exit through one gate, then be directed through a return route.
The customer would back out of the exit.
Note that having the customer back out of the exit may be a challenge if there are additional customers behind them waiting to exit.
